Volodymyr Yaremko spoke at an arbitration event on UNCITRAL Model Law on International Commercial Arbitration in Riga

Counsel and Head of International Arbitration & Cross-border Litigation Practice at Spenser & Kauffmann, Volodymyr Yaremko, spoke at the ICC YAF and DIS40 joint seminar in Riga, Latvia on 2 June 2016.

In his opening remarks for the event Volodymyr emphasized on the various approaches adopted by countries in implementation of the UNCITRAL Model Law on International Commercial Arbitration into national arbitration laws.

Mr. Yaremko represents interest of clients in arbitration proceedings under various rules such as UNCITRAL, ICC, SCC, LCIA, VIAC, ICSID etc. He is also well-acquainted with peculiarities of arbitrations in specific areas of industries, namely in energy, construction disputes under FIDIC forms of contracts, as well as in GAFTA and FOSFA arbitrations.

The Young Arbitrators Forum (YAF) of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) is a forum to learn from experienced practitioners about career development and issues of interest in arbitration.

Volodymyr, as a member of the ICC YAF Regional Coordination Committee (RCC), has been actively involved in the organizing of the above event. He, along with other RCC members, representing 30 countries, he is in charge for promoting and developing the ICC YAF global network which includes over 7,500 members worldwide. The ICC YAF is the biggest young arbitrators association of its kind and represents a unique network for young professionals in the field.
